I honor the way you have dealt with this impossibly painful situation, and am so sorry for all your grief & suffering.
Sincerely<
Suzanne Lerner

Re: Statement by the Family of Kirby Brown on the Guilty Verdict of James Arthur Ray

It’s a relief to see that some measure of justice had been afforded, and that perhaps that there was some measure of closure for your family. I had read in the press that you intend launching a non-profit organization to warn against con-artists such as Ray. To this end I wrote a book in 2008 titled Scourge: The Demise of Critical Thinking in the Age of “The Secret” which has proven valuable to many. It can be downloaded at http://www.newfort.co.za/sc.... All the best with your endeavor.

Re: Statement by the Family of Kirby Brown on the Guilty Verdict of James Arthur Ray

Hi Ginny, this is Theresa Raimondi from the Old neighborhood in Brooklyn. Your efforts have been appreciated by me & by many. It's always difficult to write about a family member. Yet, you have done an outstanding job. (Well, I wouldn't call it a "job"...) An outstanding memory, yes, but not a "job". Thank you so much for sharing your memories of Kirby...she lives on in my mind. Take Care & keep writing:-)

Re: James Ray Trial, Day 20: People Others Leave Behind

I found Fawn a credible witness. I had heard snippets from her earlier, if I recall correctly, and I was impressed by her straightforward manner and her desire to help the victims because "that's what you do." I was surprised to learn of her record, but she had already impressed me as a good hearted strong character.

Re: James Ray Trial, Day 20: People Others Leave Behind

Fawn was a very good, credible witness... with a "gut" and a heart to help others. What sickens me was the fact that they brought up her "priors" -seemingly trying to make her look like a bad person and someone not to be trusted.
Fawn is the complete opposite, not only is she a person of great character, she also demonstrated morals, ethics and took responsibility for her past mistakes.
She is a respectful, caring person. and a great employee, someone I would want to have around.

Re: James Ray Trial, Day 20: People Others Leave Behind

Beautifully written but then you can always be counted on for that. :-)

Re: James Ray Trial, Day 20: People Others Leave Behind

EXCELLENT article!

Re: James Ray Trial, Day 20: People Others Leave Behind

Nice article, Tom.
